Emergency Lighting
Emergency Lighting is one of the most important uses of light installations and fittings, not only is a certain standard of emergency lighting required by law under health and safety in most places they could actually save lives if a situation ever occurs where the emergency lighting is needed. This kind of light is often used on signs (such as emergency exit signs in cinemas) or indicators to direct people to the exits if there is ever an occurence when regular lighting will not work.
Due to this emergency lighting sometimes requires specialised wiring and some even have their own individual battery backups so they can provide illumination even in the event of a total power failure. There are many kinds of emergency lighting, from standard illuminating signs through to lights running from backup generators in places like hospitals. In these circumstances the lights are often dimmer than standard lights and draw far less power, this allows them to run for longer from a smaller amount of power such as can be provided from backup batteries or a generator. Whatever you require them for you can be assured of recieving the highest quality equipment and service from the companies listed in this section.
Emergency lighting can save peoples lives, make no mistake about it. Whilst you are legally obligated to install emergency lighting by law in most circumstances you are also morally bound to fit these lights if you provide any kind of public service in a building or darkened place. Hopefully they will never have to be used, however if they are you will be very glad that you chose to purchase such equipment and keep it tested to ensure it is working and compliant with the law.
